Web Copy

Web Copy

People think " web copy is anything that is written on a page of any website". But that is "content" and it is totally different from web copy.
Web copy is the copy that is used on a web page to sell anything.

You see, people are used to a optimistic way of expressing anything on the web, and you must be able to hit into that to make your web copy useful. Traditional direct mail copywriting is filled with overstatement and exaggerations, and people are used to have this  in direct mail. People prefer comfort instead of tolerance in the web

What should you do if you're writing copy for the web? Write in a friendly, appealing style. Use the soft-sell approach with web copy. Make your copy more informative. . I've been using the Internet since 1993, when it first became available universally. I've go through thousands of web sites. I've been discovered to the traditional direct mail copywriting on the Internet and I've read it all. I will recommend writing in an editorial style on the web

People are more comfortable on the Internet. And they are more attract to writing that is more relaxed, has a individual experience, and doesn't yell of selling this or that. People don't want that kind of message. So you have to write just like you are talking to the individual, but don't make it sound sales. Use acknowledgment s that has more of an editorial feel to them. And make it sure that what you write keep the reader’s concentration. Provide information that they didn't have before. They want right and proper information with accuracy.
